This year’s Americas Connect was held on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th March at Oxo2 in London, overlooking the capital’s iconic skyline. This two-day face-to-face event offered valuable networking opportunities for UK buyers to connect and explore exciting Latin America travel products to present to their clients.

Over 100 buyers attended over the two days, all of whom had pre-scheduled meetings with a varied mix of exhibitors, from Americas’ reputable Destination Management Companies to hoteliers, tourism boards to small cruise companies and of course, Air Europa, the sponsor for Americas Connect. The event enabled attendees to make meaningful connections and collaborate closely with the exhibitors, in order to help boost Latin America tourism from the UK.
Americas Connect Cocktail Party & Prize Draw
A key highlight was the exciting prize draw during Wednesday’s cocktail party. There were twelve prizes in total, one from each country represented at Americas Connect and from the event sponsor, Air Europa. These ranged from accommodation nights, a space on a Mexico FAM trip, and the very generous Air Europa prize of two return flights to anywhere on Air Europa’s Latin America flight network.
To kick start the cocktail party, pisco sours and margaritas were on hand to welcome everyone, as well as some delicious wine from Argentina and Chile. The lively Latin rhythm of Jose Zalba-Smith and his band played whilst the crowd enjoyed canapes and the never-ending charcuterie boards on offer.
Guests enjoyed the opportunity to be captured in time by Francesco, our in-house caricaturist for the evening. All in all, a very fun-filled evening catching up with old friends and making new connections.
