The Americas Connect event brought together professionals from Latin America and the UK on Monday the 11th of March, at the esteemed OXO2 venue in Central London. This in-person gathering created a pivotal day for travel companies selling the Americas, providing networking opportunities to connect and learn about exciting travel products to offer their clients.
Travel Industry Networking
Over 80 people attended Americas Connect and everyone seemed delighted to be connecting with like-minded travel friends and destination partners. Attendees had pre-scheduled meetings and the chance to engage with the Americas’ reputable Destination Management Companies alongside hoteliers, tourism boards, small cruise companies and Air Europa, who sponsored the event. The event facilitated invaluable connections, fostering collaborations poised to shape the future of outbound tourism from the UK to the Americas region.
Americas Connect Prize Draw & Networking Drinks
Highlighting the event’s allure was a captivating prize draw during the evening drinks reception. The main prize included two return tickets to Latin America, generously sponsored by Air Europa. The lucky winner was David Horwell from Select Latin America, who hopes to visit Argentina or another South American country soon. Additionally, participants had the chance to win fantastic hotel stays and carefully curated travel experiences.
During the prize draw, some delicious Latin American wines were served from Chile and Argentina, with food cooked by the in-house Brazilian chef to enjoy. Music from across the region of Latin America played and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to make new friends and contacts.
