What an incredible few days! This year’s Americas Connect at London’s OXO2 was extra special as we gathered to celebrate Americas’ 35th anniversary. With the city skyline as our backdrop, over 100 UK buyers and 38 exhibitors—ranging from DMCs and hoteliers to our sponsors at Air Europa & Visit Buenos Aires —spent two days diving into the very best of Latin American travel.
An Unforgettable Anniversary Bash
To toast to 35 years, we threw a cocktail party to remember! We kept the Pisco Sours flowing while Jose Zalba-Smith and his band brought the Latin rhythm. Between the chocolate fountain, the photobooth fun, and those seriously addictive empanadas from De Nadas, the energy was buzzing.
Merina gave a great speech about Americas over the last 35 years, and there was even a cake for Merina to ceremoniously cut.
Big Wins
One of the highlights of the night was our prize draw, courtesy of Air Europa. A massive congratulations to David Horwell of Select Latin America, who walked away with the grand prize of 2 return flights to anywhere on Air Europa’s flight network. A special congratulations to David for also being inducted into the LATA Hall of Fame, the night before.
