Peuma Hue is a 500-acre secluded paradise only 35 minutes from the town of Bariloche in Northern Patagonia, on the south shore of Gutiérrez Lake. Peuma Hue means “Dream Place” in Mapuche language, and the striking beauty, vast lands and breathtaking views honour its name.
The main house fronts onto the green-turquoise waters of the lake. Mountains soar up behind the lodge, which is surrounded by pristine forests filled with wildlife, creeks and waterfalls.
A choice of hosted outdoor activities is offered at the ranch: horse-riding in the to look-out points with amazing views; climbing rope ladders on trees and descending with Tyrolean ropes, hiking and trekking a large variety of trails through forests, ancient rocks and stunning waterfalls, and paddling in duckies (inflatable kayaks).
The magical surroundings of this Patagonia ranch are also an invitation to relax and get in touch with one’s inner self. Peuma-Hue encourages each visitor to experience a thoughtful awareness, connection, and joy with inner and outer nature and offers several alternatives.
YOGA: Foundational classes for those just beginning to explore yoga and classes for more advanced practitioners, learning to move the body with awareness and shed layers of stress.
MINDFUL WALKS: the goal is for nature to connect and inspire, spontaneously balancing emotional, mental and bodily states, providing peace, tranquillity and transformation. Hiking through the forest to viewpoints and waterfalls, with a Yoga teacher-guide to induce moments of connection with oneself and the environment. Special breathing and meditation techniques. Individual or group activity.
HEALING WALKS: unifying nature, spirit, mind and body through neuro-emotional reprogramming techniques, body and energy harmonizing techniques, deep breathing and chakra balancing, to achieve wellbeing in calm and magical surroundings. Private session, in the woods or in a private room.
HOLISTIC MASSAGE: years of experience combining western and eastern medicines into a holistic approach of different techniques to promote healing and overall wellbeing. Integrates healing ideologies such as Swedish-Exalen massage, shiatsu, reiki, Chinese and natural medicine, Thai massage and osteopathy.
BREEMA: A healing practice that involves nurturing touch, tension-relieving stretches and rhythmic movements to create physical, mental and emotional balance in an atmosphere of harmony and non-judgement.
RELAXATION. Hot-tub sunlight (or moonlight) soaks, sauna to clear the body of toxins, or an in-room hot bathtub scented with soothing essential oils, accompanied by green tea, fresh fruit or sparkling wine and nuts.
The estancia’s beautifully decorated rooms and common areas are in several buildings scattered over the property. All have been custom–built and lovingly furnished, often with pieces crafted in the estancia’s carpentry shop. They combine great comfort and contact with nature with spectacular views.
